Position Overview
Hexion Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Advanced Manufacturing Analytics to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of manufacturing advanced analytics systems and OT/IT integration data models across Hexion's global footprint.
As a global leader in specialty chemicals for formaldehyde, resins, and versatics, we are driving innovation in the manufacturing sector through digital transformation initiatives based on industry standards such as ISA-95, ISA-88, and the Purdue Model for secure industrial architectures.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing analytics architectures integrating SCADA, PLC, historian, MES, and cloud platforms. (20%)
- Define and maintain standard data models across manufacturing assets based on ISA-95 hierarchical models, ISA-88 batch control structures, and Unified Namespace strategies. (10%)
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless OT/IT integration aligned with Purdue Level 0–3 segmentation. (20%)
- Develop and oversee software pipelines for smart manufacturing solutions, including predictive quality, anomaly detection, and operational yield optimization. (20%)
- Manage projects involving historian integrations (e.g., Aveva PI System, Wonderware Historian) and real-time edge data connectivity. (10%)
- Promote best practices in cybersecurity aligned to ISA/IEC 62443 and ensure OSHA safety standards are maintained in all digital system deployments. (5%)
- Work cross-functionally within agile POD teams, supporting product development for platforms like SmartQuality, Ultimate Operator, and SmartPress. (10%)
- Be a leader in industrial analytics, IIoT, and data model trends to ensure Hexion’s competitiveness in Industry 4.0 initiatives. (5%)
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Deep knowledge of OT systems (e.g., SCADA, PLC, DCS), historian platforms, and edge-to-cloud architectures.
- Strong understanding of ISA-95, ISA-88, Unified Namespace, and Purdue Model frameworks.
- Experience developing IIoT architectures and analytics pipelines using cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with LIMS, MES, and predictive maintenance systems integration.
- Experience using DevOps tools such as GitHub and Jira for software and analytics project management.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Education: Master's Degree
