Position Overview

 

As a key member of the Hexion Controllership team, this Financial Analyst, based in Columbus, Ohio, will play a critical role in supporting the accounting and reporting for Leasing and Debt, along with managing components of the accounting transactions performed by the shared services group (cash, Payroll, AP & other subledgers).

Job Responsibilities

 
  • Responsible for the accounting process and quarterly reporting of:
    • Global Leased Assets, including the application of ASC842 – Lease Accounting standard
    • Global Intercompany and 3rd Party Debt, including interest, fees and discount amortization
  • Accounting and analysis, reporting and reconciliation for the Balance Sheet accounts
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly closing process
  • Collaborating with the treasury department to ensure accurate accounting integration from the treasury cash management tool.
  • Working with HR to record the payroll process, including tax withholdings.
  • Be responsive and adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Handle ad hoc financial analysis requests from various stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
  • 1+ years of professional experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ERP environment, preferably SAP
  • Treasury Cash management software experience a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Desire to learn and grow in a dynamic finance environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft Office applications
