Position Overview

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Product Stewardship Specialist to join our Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs team. This role will be instrumental in supporting new product introductions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving sustainability and advocacy initiatives across our global chemical portfolio. This role is part of a broader team that includes regulatory compliance and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities

 

New Product Introductions & Regulatory Strategy

  • Facilitate product stewardship activities for new product development and commercialization.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure compliance from concept to launch.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies for market access.

 

Regulatory Monitoring & Implementation

  • Monitor evolving global chemical regulations (e.g., TSCA, REACH, GHS, CEPA, etc.).
  • Translate regulatory changes into actionable business guidance and ensure timely implementation.
  • Proactively identify and assess the business impact of upcoming regulations, and drive internal alignment on response strategies.
  • Develop and maintain regulatory intelligence dashboards or tools to support global readiness.

 

Regulatory Filings & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit regulatory dossiers for new and existing products.
  • Maintain product registrations and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and standards.

 

Advocacy & Sustainability

  • Support company participation in industry associations and regulatory forums.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by identifying and communicating product sustainability attributes.
  • Contribute to the development of safer, more sustainable product portfolios.

 

Documentation & Systems

  • Author and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and stewardship documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to internal systems and regulatory databases.

 

Business Communication & Strategy

  • Assist in coordination between regulatory, commercial, and technical teams.
  • Support the development and execution of product stewardship strategies aligned with business goals.

Consultant & Project Management

  • Collaborate with external consultants and contractors supporting regulatory and stewardship projects.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Toxicology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, or chemical compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of global chemical regulations (TSCA, REACH, GHS, etc.). Experience in regulatory submissions, advocacy, and sustainability.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with regulatory systems, data management tools, and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a plus.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
