The Hexion Product Stewardship team supports business development through proactive involvement with relevant stakeholders to ensure global compliance, risk management and product safety with regards to existing product lines and innovation. Product Stewardship educates associates and customers, and provides guidance to ensure products are designed, manufactured, stored, transported, used, and disposed of in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, and as intended, to protect people, customers, communities, and the environment. 

Job Responsibilities

 
  • Review vendor Safety Data Sheets and confirm raw material compositions and GHS classifications are up to date 
  • Aid in regulatory surveillance and analysis of upcoming global regulatory legislations 
  • Authoring GHS compliant Safety Data Sheets based on product compositions and physical and chemical property data utilizing SAP EHS 
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned   

Minimum Qualifications

 
  • Currently in undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Health & Safety, Regulatory, or other science-based field 
  • Chemistry knowledge is required 
  • Strong analytical skills as well as solid verbal and written communication skills is essential 
  • Ability to work full-time for a semester

Preferred Qualifications

 
  • Previous experience working within an EHS or regulatory compliance organization is preferred, but not essential 
  • Ability to speak English is essential and fluency in additional languages is preferred
