Position Overview

HR Representatives are extensions of HR Services in the field. These HR generalists bridge the roles of HR Services and HR Operations by resolving Tier 2 services inquiries and incidents in the field. HR work is assigned to the HR Services team by the HR Operations and/or HR Functional organization, typically initiated via HR Services tickets or inquiries to HRConnect (HR service Center).  All HR work needs to be documented via a ticket through the HR Service Center.  HR Representatives are expected to be versed in all areas of HR services in order to provide a holistic experience in resolving inquiries and issues when assigned to them. 

Job Responsibilities

 
  • Resolves Tier 2 HR services inquiries or issues.
  • Escalates inquiries and issues requiring Tier 3 support.
  • Documents all requests / inquiries in the case management (ticketing) system.
  • Delivers proactive services requiring experience in multiple HR functional areas (e.g., talent acquisition, employee relations, growth and development, training, leaves of absence, exit management).
  • Documents customer resolution in the case management (ticketing) system inquiries / requests escalated to Field HR.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities based on emergent customer needs and HR opportunities.
  • Coordinates the transactional work coming into the Service Center via tickets from the field operations and/or functions.  Transactional work includes but is not limited to the following processes: hiring, promotions/changes, terminations, etc.
  • Participates in HR special projects in providing input across multiple HR functions.
  • Consistently applies HR policies for specific local, state, country laws and practices.
  • Attends training and participates in continuous improvement measures as directed by HR Services Leadership.
  • Applies local policies and standards to resolving escalated service inquiries and issues.
  • Assists with the communication/training of new corporate HR policies, benefit initiatives, technology updates, etc. coming from the process Team.
  • Act as first line of support for all inquiries from managers and associates regarding programs, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with collecting data and reporting for internal audit.
  • HR Rep provides hands-on HR Support & Services to Associates out at the sites.
  • Promotes self-services where appropriate.
  • Coordinates local associate leave of absence policies.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR function. 

 

In addition, the following skills are required:

  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maturity in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Working knowledge of email, Internet Explorer, Excel and Word and SuccessFactors.
  • Working knowledge of case management tool preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
