ROLE MISSION

 

Own the roadmap for Smartech AI's operator- and operations-facing applications — the dashboards,​ alerting, visualization, and workflow tools built on live, streaming plant data that help operators and plant​ teams act in real time. Translate platform capabilities into intuitive products that deliver measurable​ operational outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the roadmap for operator-facing apps; identify​ high-value plant-operations use cases across sites and​ workflows.


Experience & Adoption

  • Own usability and adoption of operations dashboards,​ alerting, and workflow tools; drive operator engagement​ and trust.


Discovery & Delivery

  • Lead discovery with operators and plant teams; deliver​ in Agile/Scrum — owning the backlog, story writing, and​ sprint planning.


Operations Partnership

  • Partner with plant operations and go-to-market on​ rollout, onboarding, and expansion across sites.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Product Management: 5+ years in software product management / product​ ownership, including 2+ years owning a technical or platform product in an​ Agile/Scrum environment — backlog ownership, story writing, and sprint planning with engineering.
  • Industrial Software: 2+ years in industrial / manufacturing software — Industrial IoT,​ MES, SCADA / historian, or plant-operations SaaS — with a demonstrated​ understanding of real-time plant data and operator-facing systems.
  • Operations-Facing Delivery: Proven record shipping operator- or operations-facing​ applications — dashboards, alerting, visualization, or workflow tools built on live /​ streaming data.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

  • Product Sense: Usability and workflows for operators under pressure.
  • Application PM: Ships operations-facing B2B apps at scale.
  • Industrial Domain: Understands plant operations and operator needs.
  • Discovery: Skilled in operator / plant-team discovery and validation.
  • Agile Ownership: Backlog, stories, and sprint planning with engineering.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Aligns engineering, design, and operations.
