Position Overview
Based in our Dublin, OH R&D Laboratory, we are seeking a highly accomplished Research Chemist with a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field and 5+ years of industry experience. This role will focus on developing next-generation chemical solutions for the Natural Resources sector—including agriculture, oilfield, and mining. The successful candidate will lead research programs on advanced molecules, formulations, and polymers that directly enhance performance, sustainability, and efficiency in these industries.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership in applied chemistry for agriculture, oilfield, and mining markets.
- Design and execute experiments on new molecules, formulations, and processes—examples include H₂S scavengers, slow-release fertilizers, flotation reagents, or tailings treatment additives.
- Guide projects from lab concept through scale-up and commercial application, working closely with product development and manufacturing teams.
- Anticipate and shape emerging industry needs by integrating sustainability, regulatory requirements, and customer feedback into research strategy.
- Mentor R&D chemists, contribute to patent filings, and publish in high-impact journals or industry forums.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in agriculture, oilfield, or mining chemistry.
- Proven track record of independent research and contributions to commercial technologies, patents, or publications.
- Hands-on expertise with synthesis, formulation, and characterization of polymers and chemical additives.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with chemical products such as H₂S scavengers, agrochemical formulations, slow-release fertilizers, flotation reagents, or tailings treatment additives.
- Experience scaling up processes and collaborating with manufacturing.
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, TSCA).
