Position Overview

A hands-on builder and thought partner, this role drives enterprise-critical transformation projects with both rigor and creativity. The Transformation Project Leader cuts through corporate bureaucracy and bloat to design smarter processes, deliver measurable business impact, and make real change happen at the intersection of strategy and execution. With equal comfort in the details and in the boardroom, they immerse themselves in the subject matter of each project, quickly becoming a trusted expert and constructive challenger. They balance partnership with disruption, building trust while pushing stakeholders to go further and faster.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end transformation projects across SG&A, R&D, supply chain, and commercial functions, from scoping and design through execution and scaling.
  • Design and test processes hands-on, working side-by-side with teams to map, build, and pilot new ways of working.
  • Immerse quickly in project subject matter, becoming a knowledgeable thought leader and trusted partner to sponsors and teams.
  • Challenge constructively, asking the hard questions and pushing for bold solutions while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Deliver outcomes, not just meetings, to turn discussion into design, and design into delivery, ensuring projects move beyond PowerPoint to real, lasting impact.
  • Track impact relentlessly, ensuring projects deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes tied directly to enterprise priorities.
  • Integrate modern methods and tools (Lean Six Sigma, design thinking, agile sprints, digital/AI/RPA, analytics) to fit the challenge at hand.
  • Facilitate alignment and decisions through workshops, steering committees, and executive updates, but always with a bias for action.

Attributes

  • Modern Practitioner: Combines Lean Six Sigma rigor with design thinking, agile experimentation, and digital fluency.
  • Hands-On Builder: Rolls up sleeves to map, design, and test solutions, not just manage from a distance.
  • Curious Learner: Quickly absorbs new subject matter, thrives on tackling unfamiliar problems, and becomes trusted expert.
  • Collaborative Disrupter: Partners effectively across functions while constructively challenging assumptions and legacy practices.
  • Bias for Action: Thrives where others get stuck in analysis or politics; moves quickly from idea to execution.
  • Change Maker: Energized by cutting through red tape, simplifying complexity, and proving that progress beats process.
  • Influential Partner: Inspires confidence and alignment at all levels, from functional teams to the executive suite.
  • Results Driven: Focused on measurable impact, translating project work into real P&L and performance outcomes.

Experience

  • 7+ years leading large-scale transformation, process design, or enterprise improvement projects in corporate functions, R&D, supply chain, or commercial contexts.
  • Proven success delivering high-value projects with direct financial and operational impact.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent), with evidence of applying methods beyond manufacturing into enterprise and service environments.
  • Track record of hands-on project ownership — designing processes, piloting solutions, and scaling enterprise adoption.
  • Experience navigating complex organizations to deliver impact — not just advising from the sidelines, but directly building, implementing, and sustaining solutions.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Fluent in Lean Six Sigma and complementary approaches (design thinking, agile sprints, Kaizen, value stream mapping), applying only what drives results, not adding layers of bureaucracy.

  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Minitab, R, Python).

  • Familiarity with AI, RPA, workflow automation, and data integration, with the judgment to apply them where they add the most value.

  • Ability to link process design and operational improvements directly to enterprise strategy and P&L outcomes.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills to engage executives and motivate teams.
