Role Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role oversees general ledger activities, prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements, and ensures timely month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining adherence to GAAP and internal policies, supporting audits through documentation and coordination with external auditors, and assisting with tax filings and other statutory reporting requirements. Additionally, the position involves identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices in accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
- Manage fixed asset processes, including tracking, additions/disposals, and capital expenditure analysis
- Assist in Treasury-related functions, including cash reconciliations and cash forecasting
- Assist with external audits by providing documentation, schedules, and explanations as needed
- Assist in new system implementations, improvements and data integrity initiatives
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning
- Other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years’ Public Accounting experience, or solid experience preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and US GAAP
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus but not required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

- 10% travel as needed
