Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Lead Software Engineer to help drive the next generation of an advanced Industrial AI platform that combines Industrial Connectivity, Edge Computing, Cloud Technologies, and AI-driven solutions.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex software challenges while also influencing architecture, technology decisions, and engineering best practices.
This role is intended for a highly technical engineer who enjoys remaining deeply involved in software development while helping shape architecture and technical direction.
You will play a key role in shaping the evolution of a platform that collects and processes industrial data, integrates with manufacturing systems, leverages AI technologies, and delivers actionable insights and optimization capabilities in near real-time.
This is not a people-management role. The position combines significant hands-on software development with technical leadership, architectural ownership, and close collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and AI teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core components of a modern Industrial AI platform.
- Write production-quality code and take an active hands-on role in the implementation of critical software components.
- Lead the development of complex features and technical solutions from design through delivery.
- Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of software products across the organization.
- Drive architecture discussions, design reviews, and technology evaluations.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with AI and Data Science teams to enable seamless integration of AI capabilities into software products.
- Work with Edge and Cloud technologies to support distributed industrial systems.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams through active involvement in design and implementation.
- Partner with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment processes, operational excellence, and platform scalability.
- Help evolve multiple products toward a unified and scalable platform architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering standards, best practices, code quality, and technical excellence across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience designing and developing complex software systems.
- Significant hands-on development experience with Python.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and scalable application design.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience working with Edge-to-Cloud architectures.
- Experience with industrial connectivity and industrial systems.
- Experience with at least one of the following:
- OPC UA
- PLCs
- SCADA
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills.
- Ability to work across multiple technical domains and drive end-to-end solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services such as:
- SageMaker
- S3
- AWS IoT Greengrass
- Experience working with Industrial IoT (IIoT) environments.
- Experience integrating software platforms with AI/ML solutions.
- Experience working with MongoDB.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience with real-time or near real-time data processing systems.
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, IoT, or operational technology environments.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
