Position Overview

 

As the Category Manager Indirect, you will work on strategical and tactical level and drive excellence in TCO, technology, and quality within the supply base. You will shape and execute the strategy for various indirect sub-categories. Building strong relationships with suppliers is a key part of your role as you strive to maximize value. 

Job Responsibilities

 
  • Partner with stakeholders on a strategic and tactical level, understand their business needs and objectives;
  • Initiate, shape and execute the procurement strategy for the indirect categories (including MRO, process equipment and professional services) for Hexion VAD;
  • Cultivate and sustain in-depth knowledge of trends, emerging technologies, and the supplier landscape across different categories;
  • Build a robust presence within the categories, enhancing visibility and accessibility to suppliers, industry events, and key market developments;
  • Coordinate the strategy and execution with the global category management team.

Minimum Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant strategic procurement experience in an international environment, preferably technical;
  • NEVI or equivalent procurement certification is considered a plus;
  • Proven ability to initiate, shape and execute procurement strategies including final implementation;
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships;
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience. 
  • Resilient in changing situations and circumstances;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
