Position Overview
To ensure all plant activities are performed in compliance with HSE policies, standards and regulations by initiating, developing and improving environmental policies, procedures and trainings in order to comply with legal and Company requirements, create awareness amongst employees, increase knowledge and drive a solid HSE culture.
To continuously improve implementation and maintenance of HSE management compliance system. Provides technical expertise to achieve Pernis site and Headquarters goals for HSE performance.

Minimum Qualifications
• Master or Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, environmental sciences or equivalent combination of training & experience.
• At least 14 years experience in the chemical industry;
• Is the environmental (regulations) specialist within the company
• Is able to (contribute to) develop new concepts, techniques and standards in the Environmental field
• Should possess leadership, training, presentation, problem solving, and decision making skills;
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization;
• Should have strong oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English
• Should be persuasive, independent, accurate, creative, diplomatic and a team player
• Must be able to work at high (peak) stress levels

If currently an employee of the Company, you must have current satisfactory work performance and in most cases, have been in your current role for 18 months.
