Position Overview
Lead Process Engineer Project Pernis Program.
Provide leadership and direction to several engineers, to perform work requiring advanced knowledge, technical support and responsibility to develop conceptual, basis of design studies. The aim is to interface with client representative; project, planning, technical disciplines, operations, maintenance to align requirements and expectations. Also, to design new or improved manufacturing capabilities, while optimizing the performance, quality, safety and costs and staying in compliance with applicable standards.
Decision making authority:
• Work is performed under general direction, receiving minimal guidance;
• Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives;
• Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Legal Compliance:
• SEVESO inspection coordination and follow-up;
• Keeping the site safety report up to date and in compliance with Seveso requirements;
• Conducting safety audits and on-site inspections;
• Keep up-to-date with proposed and actual changes in safety regulations, so the organization’s EHS policies remain current and relevant;
• Regulatory compliance checks;
• Advises management regarding EHS improvements and issues regarding improvements on regulatory compliance.
EHS performance:
• Identifying risks and areas for improvement;
• Supports / Facilitates incident investigations and analysis of EHS incidents;
• Monitor the organization’s overall EHS performance to identify recurring problems, research, evaluate and recommend changes to equipment, systems or processes that will improve the organization’s performance;
• Provide technical expertise and advice on EHS issues to functional or operational areas.
• Facilitates HAZOP and SIL studies;
• EHS metric reporting: weekly/monthly internal reporting in corporate Metric collection system and site KPI scorecard;
Management System:
• Implementation of corporate EHS guidelines and standards;
• Improvement of EHS management processes and site EHS procedures, including emergency preparedness procedures;
• Implementation of Process Safety management process, metric system implementation and training (PM incident monitoring and analysis).

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in chemical engineering, or equivalent combination of training & experience.
- At least 3 years experience in the chemical industry
- Must be familiar with process safety
- Should possess leadership, training, presentation, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Should have strong oral and written communication skills
- Should be persuasive, independent, accurate, creative, diplomatic and a team player
